Region 4 RDSPD Family Support Network

The Region 4 Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (RDSPD) Family Support Network is available to any parent or caregiver of a student who is deaf, hard of hearing, or deafblind and who is currently served by the Region 4 RDSPD in Houston, Pasadena, Deer Park, Klein, Aldine or Spring ISDs, at Bloom Academy Charter School, or DRAW Academy.  The purpose of the network is to provide high-quality learning sessions and opportunities for connection for parents to better support children who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deafblind in their homes and communities.  Various topics related to Deaf Education will be addressed across the school year including but not limited to - Understanding Hearing Loss Assistive Technology and Assistive Listening Devices Family and Child Interactions Communication Strategies Transition Supports for DHH Learners Resources and Technology
